About Chemistry I & II

Chemistry I & II provides supplemental materials for a general chemistry college course. It is designed to be used alongside the OpenStax Chemistry 2e textbook available online. The materials are organized into sixteen units (Chemistry 1 Units 1-8 and Chemistry 2 Units 9-16). Each unit includes a pre-lecture reading assignment, post-lecture problem set, and videos demonstrating key problem-solving skills. The pre-lecture assignments are composed of 5-10 easy questions focused on the Remember and Understand levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. The post-lecture problem sets are composed of 15-25 multiple choice and calculation questions focused on the Understand and Apply levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. The assignments are provided as pdfs as well as QTI packages for directly uploading into a learning management system. The videos are provided as mp4s and are directly hyperlinked in the QTI built assignments as well.

 This workbook is licensed with the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike License. This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon this work non-commercially, as long as they credit the author and license their new creations under the identical terms.
